Andhra BJP Leaders Irritating Naidu!

Bharatiya Janata Party leaders in Andhra Pradesh seem to have completely understood the weakness of Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. They have realised that Naidu cannot come out of the NDA at this stage, because he desperately needs of the BJP, if his party wants to retain power in the next elections, too.

However, what they have not understood is that Naidu was a stubborn politician who cannot succumb to pressures. So, they have started attacking him and his style of functioning so as to irritate him and get their works done.

In the forefront of such BJP leaders is party MLC Somu Veerraju. After keeping silent for some time under pressure from BJP national president Amit Shah and Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu, the Andhra BJP leader has started questioning Naidu for misusing the Central funds to benefit only the TDP leaders.

“Forget about the state schemes, even in the Centrally-sponsored schemes, Naidu has been largely ignoring the local BJP leaders. He has appointed Janma Bhoomi committees with completely TDP activists to oversee implementation of central schemes. Not a single BJP leader is there in any of the committees,” Veerraju lamented.

In the construction of houses under Pradhan Mantri Grameen Yojana scheme, 1.41 lakh hosues were constructed and not a single house was allotted to any BJP activist and all the houses were allotted to the TDP workers. Even among pensions, the beneficiaries are mostly TDP supporters. “How can we treat the TDP as our alliance partner?” he asked.
